A Story About John

Let me share a story about John who went on a short-term trip to Uganda. Before going on this trip, John was perfectly content with anonymously sitting in the back row of his church until Jesus returned.

For some reason, that I do not know from his story, John went on a short-term trip with MFM to Uganda. While there, he sensed the Holy Spirit during worship times as the poverty-stricken Ugandans he met were joyful and full of praise.

John was overwhelmed by this and wanted to pack up his home and move to Uganda. His wife thought he was crazy!

After returning to the States, he has become involved in his church: leading worship, helping with youth group, and has been asked to be an elder.

He no longer sits in the back row. The back row was comfortable, but staying in the back row did not provide the opportunities for John to grow.

Think about John

I don’t know about you, but I always want to be growing in my faith. John’s story causes me to think: how am I growing in my faith?
