What Is My Role at MFM?

I serve as a ministry team specialist.

What is that? 🤔

That is a great question! It is a multi-faceted role best explained with bullet points. Here goes:

Main Responsibilities

  • Open/create short-term ministry teams by relating to OMS fields who want to utilize short-term teams.
  • Help fill teams by connecting with people and churches about available opportunities.
  • Manage short-term ministry teams including: applications, travel arrangements, training, and follow-up.
  • Help team members prepare spiritually for their journey and process the journey spiritually after they return.
  • Database management including: team member information, cost estimates, finances, flight information, and so on.
  • Help publish short-term opportunities and stories.
  • Track team statistics.

This is a list of just a few of the responsibilities I have as a ministry team specialist. There are many tasks, and I hope to cover some of them with my blog.

My role is vital for successful ministry teams and advancing the mission-vision of OMS and its partners.
